These terms apply to reservations and stays at Aktionslichtpunkt, operated by Aktionslichtpunkt Alpine Lodge Limited, 12 Brunswick Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand. By confirming a reservation you accept them on behalf of everyone in your party.

1. The nature of our services

Aktionslichtpunkt is a physical boutique hotel offering accommodation, dining, wellness and social entertainment at a single location in Queenstown, New Zealand.

  • Our casino-inspired Salon provides social, non-monetary table entertainment only. No money is wagered, won or lost; house chips carry no value and are collected nightly.
  • We do not offer, facilitate or advertise real-money gambling or online gaming of any kind. The Salon is not a casino and the hotel is not a gambling operator.
  • All entertainment takes place face-to-face on the premises and is reserved for staying guests aged 18 and over.

2. Reservations

  • A reservation request — by website form, telephone or email — is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. A stay is confirmed only when our reception team replies in writing.
  • Rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD) per room per night and include GST where applicable.
  • No payment or card details are taken at the enquiry stage. Payment is settled on the premises, by card or cash, at check-in or check-out.
  • Quoted rates are held for 48 hours pending confirmation, unless we advise otherwise.

3. Cancellation & amendment

  • Free cancellation or amendment up to 72 hours before your arrival date.
  • Cancellations within 72 hours, or non-arrival, may incur a charge of the first night's rate.
  • Salon Privé and whole-lodge bookings carry separate terms, confirmed in writing at the time of reservation.

4. Arrival & departure

  • Check-in from 3:00pm; check-out until 11:00am. Early arrival and late departure are subject to availability.
  • Photo identification is required at check-in for the named guest.
  • Reception is staffed 24 hours a day; late arrivals are always welcome — simply tell us.

5. House rules

  • The hotel is non-smoking throughout; a sheltered terrace area is provided.
  • Quiet hours begin at 10:00pm in corridors and guest floors.
  • The Salon is an adults-only room. Smart-casual dress is requested after 7:00pm.
  • Personal gambling of any kind — including private stakes at Salon tables — is not permitted on the premises.
  • Pets are not permitted; guide and assistance dogs are always welcome.

6. Liability

We take reasonable care of guests and their belongings, but we cannot accept liability for loss or damage except where required by New Zealand law. Valuables may be lodged in the reception safe. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

7. Your information

Personal information collected in connection with a reservation is handled under our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
